New Work, NY
The New Work, NY initiative brings together a small intercultural group of writers from the U.S and abroad to work in New York City. The artists participate in a Generative Writing Workshop, an intimate five-day retreat to create and share works-in-progress. The process encourages writers to generate new material each day, share those pages with a cohort of writers and actors, and steer the resulting creative conversations with the help of facilitators. A kick-off event features a panel discussion for the public to meet the artists and learn more about cultural and international approaches to new play development.
