Peacedale Global Arts will return to Alentejo, Portugal for a residency that brings U.S. writers to work with artists and playwrights in the Portuguese theater community as part of an ongoing partnership with Escola do Largo and hosted by mala voadora.

Zora Howard has been selected as the inaugural Arthur Kopit Fellow at Peacedale Global Arts. The fellowship is a year-long residency that includes a cash prize of $10,000, a seat in Peacedale Global Arts’ New Work, NY Generative Workshop, additional artistic support, and opportunities to explore international exchange.

Our signature generative writing workshop program will return in the spring of 2026. Guest Romanian and Hungarian writers Maria Manolescu-Borșa‍, Orsolya Marton, and Cosmin Stănilă ‍will join U.S.-based writers Clarence Coo and Jeesun Choi to create, share work, and exchange artistic perspectives over a five-session workshop.
