  • Portugal Residency 2024

    In May 2024, playwrights Clarence Coo and Andrea Thome will travel to Almada and Alentejo to take part in a generative writing workshop with Portuguese artists hosted by Centro Internacional de Dramaturgia. Residency participants will also travel to Porto to see Mala Voadora’s production of Robert Schenkkan’s new play, Old Cock, performed in Portuguese.

  • Road Less Traveled: Script Development

    Peacedale Global Arts will continue its collaboration with Silk Road Cultural Center to develop The Road Less Traveled which engages with multilayered stories of immigration and Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken.” This theatrical piece questions what it means to belong to a place and who gets the privilege to choose their own path.

  • Transylvania Playwriting Residency

    Rajiv Joseph and Mona Mansour will join Peacedale Global Arts staff to participate in activities in collaboration with the Arts University of Târgu Mureș in November of 2024. The 2-year program brings together graduate students, faculty, and alumni from the Hungarian and Romanian sections of the University’s two-year master’s degree program in Playwriting. In Year Two, plays by Joseph and Mansour will be translated into Hungarian and Romanian with the resulting scripts read publicly as part of the international and multilingual STUDIO festival.
